Retreat Writing

MY WRITING ABOUT RETREAT! I HAVE HIGHLIGHTED THESE FIVE WORDS, THAT MEANS THOSE ARE THE FIVE VOCABULARIES THAT ARE IN MY WRITING.

Thursday 21st May, that's the date that the yr 8’s was going to retreat.  We only went for one night & two days, we had so much fun at retreat.  We learnt new things and three words which was special to us and everyone else.  They were Tika,Pono & Aroha. We all present those three words in our groups.

My favourite part was nearly all of them, and they were  constructing our own arks,finding leaves,treasure hunts,and playing. Everything was special to us, I enjoyed everything that has happen at retreat.  But mostly the food, the food was delicious and yum! & also  the dessert, difference lollies inside it was just soft and nice.  I learnt some stories, when Josephine was talking about the Salt in the bible, I enjoyed that story.

Our last day has come, everyone was sad, retreat just felt like home, even my room I missed my room so much, it was warm and cuddly.  When we left that massive  Cute  house, I was talking about things that we were doing.

I appreciated every single moment we did with Brother Philip and Josephine, & also staying in the chapel, their chapel was warm, it was like an small special place for the Francis friars.

I remember how we took our pillows downstairs and spend sometime praying. I love climbing up the stairs and eating at the kitchen, & also doing things at the meeting room.

I am reporting live from this beautiful sunny day, at the river Jordan.  Later on Jesus is getting Baptist from John, John is Zechariah and Elizabeth’s son. There were a lot of people here to watch Jesus.  When Jesus finished baptist the sky was free & shining like Gold.  Suddenly the crowd heard a strange voice from the sky. The crowd was afraid wondering who’s voice is that?

The crowd was afraid and surprising at the same time, They never knew Jesus was God’s son. “What a shocking news” said witness from the crowd!

Today I have been learning about Re.

I learnt that the holy spirit was with the disciples, on pentecost day.

The disciples was scared but at the end they weren't scared any more because the holy spirit filled them with confident. Next time I'm going to learn more about the Holy Spirt Strand.

Anzac Vocabulary

Anzac Letter

Letter to those students who did not come:

Hi guys!, Today’s mass was amazing, wish you guys came!

But never mind, I will write about it. Hope you guys enjoy!

When I got to school I rushed back to class , got my poppy put the icelock in the freezer. Because we are having Sausage sizzle today.

Today was a special day for us New Zealanders and for the Australians. Straight after mass we went to the grotto, where Mary and Jesus Statue are. The whole school stood in the front, Each class said their own parts, we said the prayers and we sang the national anthem.

You can just feel and imagine, what the people that fought in the WW1 had has gone through, You can just imagine what they were doing listening to that quite sad song. "The Last Post" When we were listening, I was scared, I felt sorry for those who lost their Husband and relatives.

Wish you guys were here to look at it and listen to those beautiful readers, that were reading at mass. We took photos, had the Nz Flags, flowers.

These white crosses will reminds us of those we had fought in the WW1.

 Today amazing and lovely.
