Kids for Kids Concert

On Monday 17 September 2012 Room3 went to Manukau Telstraclear Events Centre to have a practise with Suzanne Prentice for the Kids for Kids Concert.

We had a bus to drop us off to the Telstraclear at Manukau and the bus was leaving at half past eight so we had to be at school at 8:15am in the morning. I didn’t catch the bus, I missed it because I Woke up LATE! and my Aunty had to drop off my sister and I to Telstraclear and when we got there Room 3 came and lined up outside the Telstraclear Centre.

I was nervous, I didn’t think my sister was nervous because she went first to the class then I just came because I was scared they were all staring at me.

Miss G said “come let’s go Room 3”. I said goodbye to my Aunty so they went off home. I went inside and saw lots of schools in front of us, we had a Tongan school sitting in front of us which was named Pacific Christian School.

We waited until the schools were ready to come in then we heard singing coming up my favourite singer JUSTIN BIEBER, LOVE ME and then KATY PERRY, WIDE AWAKE. That was my favourite song that they had played it was so we were entertained while we waited. Daynah from TV 2 came onto the stage and I got surprised that she still came and introduced our Kids for kids show and she told us where schools would sit in their seat on the stage.

I was very excited to get up and practise our songs with SUZANNE PRENTICE. Daynah came and said “Good Morning Everybody” then she said “I will call out your school name to come up and sit where you are gonna sit TONIGHT”.


We practised and we had morning tea. I was very hungry and thirsty so I ate my food and then picked up the rubbish that was in front of me and next to me. I heard Miss G get excited and say she was so proud of someone, I thought who was that? then I saw it was RACHEL and ANA. I got surprised that they had made it so I said to them “good luck on your solo’s and try your best”. They sang in front of everyone and it was lovely and beautiful.

It was time to go back to school, I was very tired. We got our stuff ready then we went off to the bus. I was with Monique and Kelly, while I was sitting I was holding my bag. Suddenly I felt something wet around my body, I lift up my bag and underneath my bag was wet. I opened my bag and it was my DRINK! I put my bag on the chair next to me then I saw my skirt it was wet.

When we got to school i said “THANK YOU BUS DRIVER FOR DROPPING ROOM3 TO SCHOOL BACK SAFELY”. I went to class and opened my bag, it was wet and I saw my maths work was wet too.
I got it out and my NETBOOK BAG was inside, I said to myself, “my goodness Miss G is going to be angry with me”, I was scared. I took it outside and let it dry out in the sun and it was ok.
